S.A.M.E is a Community Interest Company (CIC) developing a creative and supportive membership provision for making in South Sheffield. Aiming to nurture and inspire a new generation of makers and creative businesses whilst contributing to a sustainable relationship with the things we use.

Membership

The makerspace will be run as a membership model sharing the use of work benches, some tools and hopefully idea’s and experiences between the members. Included in the £125 pm fee;

  1. Internet
  2. 24 hour Access
  3. Some storage space
  4. Use of some tools we do have (The intention is the organisation will invest in more tools)
  5. Access and inclusion in our growing maker network when jobs and commissions arise.
  6. Use of clean office space as hot desk
  7. Part of our creative maker community
  8. Regular public events and opportunities for workshops, courses
  9. Supporting a new DIY space for sheffield
  10. Opportunity to sell work and promote through the space

Access

The workshop is all ground floor. We have a roller shutter entrance that is fully accessible. Our office space and subsequently the toilet has a narrow entrance from the workshop or a single step up from the front. The carpark surface is very uneven and has loose gravel surface on top.
